Acts 2:1-11, 14-21 & 3:19, 26

Once again, I apologize for the poor quality of some of these photos.  No matter how many times I take them in all different kinds of light, they still look dark and blurry.  The next time we have a sunny day outside (which may be awhile) I will try taking some photos outside in natural light.

(Acts 2:1-11) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

(Acts 2:14-21) But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, "Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words... this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'"  (See Joel 2:28-32)

(Acts 3:19 & 26) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Do Not be Afraid of the Holy Spirit (Video)

Before I share any more from the book of Acts, I first wanted to re-share this video I made titled "Do not be Afraid of the Holy Spirit." Hopefully it helps with understanding the difference between false and real manifestations. The Holy Spirit is nothing to fear.

I apologize that I am unable to share any videos to Blogger longer than 30 seconds. but you can find this video on the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/juliesbiblejourney

Acts 1:1-11

(Acts 1:1-11) The former treatise have I made... of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed Himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith He, "ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost..."

And He said unto them, "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me..."

And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven."

John 20:21-22 & 21:24-25

(John 20:21-22)Then said Jesus to them again, "Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost:"

(John 21:24-25) This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

(BELOW IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SCRIPTURE VERSES:)

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

John 15:16 & 16:33

(John 15:16) [Jesus said,] "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:"

(John 16:33) [Jesus said,] "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

John 15:1-8

(John 15:1-14) I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit."

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."

"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

"Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples."

John 14:6-7

(John 14:6-7 & 9-13) Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him."

Jesus saith unto him, "...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall He do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

(I apologize that this is one of the bad quality photos, but it is such a beautiful portion of scripture that offers so much hope and peace, that I wanted to share it anyway,)

(John 14:26-27) [Jesus said,] "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

John 11:9-10

(John 11:9-10) Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him."

John 10:1-11 & 14-18

(John 10:1-11 & 14-18) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear His voice: and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when He putteth forth His own sheep, He goeth before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."

This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which He spake unto them.

Then said Jesus unto them again, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.  am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief [Satan] cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep..."

"Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

John 6:47-51 & 8:12

(John 647-51) [Jesus said,] "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

(John 8:12) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

John 4:10-14 & 23-24

(John 4:10-14) Jesus answered and said unto her, "If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, 'Give me to drink'; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water."

The woman saith unto him, "Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?"

Jesus answered and said unto her,"Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

When you worship God, are you worshipping Him in Truth?  He alone knows the condition of your heart.  You may fool a lot of people with your "spirituality," but God knows ALL of your thoughts and actions.  You can NEVER fool God.  Examine your hearts now so you can worship Him with a clean, humble, and repentant heart full of awe and joy because of His great love for you!

(John 4:23-24) [Jesus said,] "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."

John 3:16-21

Jesus' death in the cross for your sins and mine is beyond amazing! Will you accept this most precious free gift of Salvation? Will you ask Jesus into your heart and ask Him to purge you of all your ungodly ways? Or do you love the darkness of the world more than the light of Jesus?  Do you refuse to follow Biblical principles? If so, then you will find condemnation.  Only when you repent of your sins, accept Jesus as your Savior, and follow through by living by His rules and therefore now walk in His light, will condemnation cease.  Show Jesus you truly love Him and are willing to let the dark things of the world go to live in His life-changing Light!

(John 3:16-21) For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth NOT IS condemned already, because he hath NOT believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And THIS is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the Light [Jesus], neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 1:1-5

(Note: I apologize that quite a few of the photos for the book of John turned out quite blurry.  I took them so many times I lost track.  I decided to share them anyway - though there will be a few I will not be posting.  I am not sure why they keep looking so out of focus, if it is due to my cheap phone camera or my hand tremor.  Either way, I still want to share the message of God's Truths with you!  Thank you for your patience!)

(John 1:1-5 & 9-14) In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. ...the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto his own, and His own received him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Luke 23:33-34 & 24:36-40, 44-53

(Luke 23:33-38) And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified [Jesus]...

Then said Jesus, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

(Luke 24:36-40 & 44-53) And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, "Peace be unto you."

But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

And He said unto them, "Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have." And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them His hands and His feet.

And He said unto them, "These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me."

Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, "Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."

And He led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up His hands, and blessed them.

And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Luke 18:18-22, 19:13, 29-40

(Luke 18:18-22) And a certain ruler asked him, saying, "Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"

And Jesus said unto him,"Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother."

And he said, "All these have I kept from my youth up."

Now when Jesus heard these things, He said unto him, "Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me."

(Luke 19:13) "Occupy [Work to build the Kingdom of God] till I [Jesus] come."

(Luke 19:29-40) And it came to pass, when [Jesus] was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of His disciples, Saying, "Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him."

And they that were sent went their way, and found even as He had said unto them.

And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, "Why loose ye the colt?"

And they said, "The Lord hath need of him."

And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as He went, they spread their clothes in the way.

And when He was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, "Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest."

And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto Him, "Master, rebuke thy disciples."

And He answered and said unto them, "I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out."

Luke 13:23-28

(Luke 13:23-28) And [Jesus] went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

Then said one unto Him, "Lord, are there few that be saved?

And He said unto them, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able."

"When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open unto us;' and He shall answer and say unto you, 'I know you not whence ye are:'"

"Then shall ye begin to say, 'We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.'"

"But He shall say,' I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.'"

"There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out."

Luke 10:2, 38-42, 11:34-40, 12:1-3, 37 & 40

(Luke 10:2) Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

(P.S. I apologize for the quality of some of these photos, such as this one.  The woman represents me saying, "Use me Lord for your glory!"  I must have taken them 6 or 7 times and some of them still turned out blurry no matter what I tried.  Hopefully you still see the artwork well enough for it to convey the message that inspired me.)

(Luke 10:38-42) Now it came to pass, as they went, that [Jesus] entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to Him, and said, "Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me."

And Jesus answered and said unto her, "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."

(Luke 11:34-40) [Jesus said,] "The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light."

And as He spake, a certain Pharisee besought Him to dine with him: and He went in, and sat down to meat. And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that He had not first washed before dinner.

And the Lord said unto him, "Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?"

(Luke 12:1-3) In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, [Jesus] began to say unto his disciples "First of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known."

"Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets [such as malicious gossip] shall be proclaimed upon the housetops."

(Luke 12:37 & 40) [Jesus said,] "Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when He cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if He shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

"Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not."
